Getting started

Welcome to AskHumans! Here's how to get started with creating feedback loops for your team.

Installation

Click the "Add to Slack" button on our homepage to install AskHumans to your workspace. You'll need admin permissions to install apps.

First steps

  1. Type /askhumans in any channel or DM
  2. Click "Create Loop" to start building your first feedback loop
  3. Add your questions and configure settings
  4. Schedule and send to your team!

Yes, you can choose to send your feedback loops to specific team members, channels, or groups during the setup process.

AskHumans provides gentle reminders and you can track response rates to follow up personally when needed.

You can manage your existing loops through the AskHumans interface. Use /askhumans and select "Send Existing Loop" to view and manage your created loops.

Troubleshooting

The /askhumans command isn't working

Try these steps:

  • Make sure AskHumans is installed in your workspace
  • Check that you have permission to use slash commands

  • Contact your Slack admin if the issue persists

I'm not receiving feedback notifications

Check these settings:

  • Verify your Slack notification settings
  • Ensure AskHumans has permission to send you messages
  • Check if the feedback loop is active and scheduled correctly

Responses aren't being saved

This could be due to:

  • Network connectivity issues
  • Slack permissions problems
  • Temporary service disruption

Try submitting again, and contact support if the problem continues.
